What to Expect

The Yea Show allows the community an insight into all aspects of rural life including cattle, poultry, dairy goats, horses, fleeces, horticulture, art, crafts and cookery with cooking demonstrations being held through-out the day.

 

The Yea Show also boasts a very high-class Heifer Challenge held on the Friday evening prior to the Show, attracting many well respected farmers from a wide area of the state of Victoria.

The supreme quality of the cattle continues to be displayed on the Saturday concluding with the Grand Parade at 1pm.

 

The horses provide an impressive display during the day with a full schedule of events, including a fancy dress parade at lunchtime.

 

In recent years, a Yard Dog Trial has been competing as an additional attraction to the Show. This is held under the shade of the trees near the Netball Courts with dog triallers coming from various parts of Victoria creating a high quality spectacle.

 

As well as the various sections of competition, primary school aged children have a chance to enter their pets  with judging taking place at 10 am.

 

The other attractions include rides, show bags, sideshows, farm related stalls and for the first time the Young Farmers Challenge,

The Peter Miller Band will also be entertaining the public with two music sessions from 4pm until 6pm. Come along and listen to this prominent entertainer who will surely draw a crowd.
