AIMS - To highlight the talent, creativity and ingenuity of young, rural Victorians and in doing so encourage entrants to be role models across local communities.
To encourage and reward enthusiastic, skilful and industrious young people, living or having an involvement in rural environments.
To assist all entrants through their participation to develop strong communication and leadership qualities.
Enable the applicant to gain greater proficiency in their chosen field and also to develop the applicants stature and reputation in that chosen field.
Prizes
Judging Criteria
A certificate will be provided to winners at local Agricultural Shows. The Yea Rural Ambassador will receive a sash, $100 and a $50 gift voucher from Yea Pharmacy, Yea.
Group winners – Group winner will be expected to attend the state final to be held at the Royal Melbourne Show in 2024.
State winner – will receive a major prize and an opportunity to compete in the National Final.
Entrants to be judged in accordance with the following guidelines:

1. Local Show Involvement 25 points
2. Community Involvement 20 point
3. General and Rural knowledge 20 points
4. Personality and Communication Skills 20 points
5. Ambitions/Goals/Interests 15 points
6. Style, Grooming and Deportment 10 points
7. Conduct 10 points
8. Public presentation (3 Minute Speech) 20 points
Total: 140 Points
